After a picture of Jay-Z and Raekwon was put on Instagram earlier this week, Lenny S. posted this picture of Hov and Drake in the studio together. The caption read:

One can only imagine what type of heat they’re cookin’ up. This is looking like an amazing year of music.  The two MCs were either working on Drake’s upcoming album Nothing Was The Same or Jay’s upcoming album, or maybe even both.

It looks like Drizzy is getting back into acting. A picture was snapped of Drake on set of Anchorman 2. The former Degrassi star is seen in some ’70s threads sporting an Afro and Members Only jacket while on set with actor Will Ferrell and the rest of the cast members. He wasn’t the only superstar MC seen on set for this movie. Kanye West was spotted shooting a cameo alongside Steve Carrell in Atlanta earlier this month. I don’t know about anyone else but December 20th can’t come soon enough.

This is the the sequel to 2004’s cult classic, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy arrives in theaters

Rap-Up has reported that Kanye West’s sixth studio album will be released on June 18. It will also be titled Yeezus.

Last night, ‘Ye did something very unconventional for hip-hop standards. He premiered his single, “New Slaves,” on the sides of 66 buildings across the world. From the brooding production to its jarring lyrics, the song is proof that this is measuring up to be his biggest album yet.

Over the last few months, very small details have been revealed for his album. What we do know is he has collaborated with everyone from Hudson Mohawke and Young Chop to Skrillex and Daft Punk. He has a few songs that have been circulating online—one named “Awesome” and the other fittingly titled “I Am A God.”

On the season finale of Saturday Night Live tonight, West is expected to premiere new material.

Lil Mouse may be in hot water for his recent actions in school. According to a report by Fox 32 in Chicago, the 13-year-old slapped and threatened to kill an eight-year-old third-grader for telling on him.

Both attend West Pullman Elementary School, but the family of the boy fear his life might be in danger. The boy’s grandmother, who wished to remain anonymous, has requested him to be transferred to another school.

“I wanna pack up and just go,” she said. “I’ve already lost one child and I don’t want to lose another one.”

She says the eight-graders have banded together to continue the threats on her grandson. Lil Mouse has been charged with assault; however, police authorities have not made an official statement.

Kanye West caused global pandemonium Friday night when he premiered his “New Slaves” single on the side of buildings in 66 locations all around the world.

In New York City, ‘Ye’s last stop to play his new single was at Prada near 5th Ave. It was scheduled to start at 1:30 a.m. The truck driving around the city showed up at around 2:00 a.m., but that didn’t seem to matter for the dedicated crowd that gathered to see the showing.

After the four-minute presentation ended, fans waited a moment before they cheered. “Yeah, Yeesus!” said one fan.

Most of the crowd stuck around to see if any surprises were in store. One fan told us that in 10 to 15 minutes, something special was about to happen. Several tweets from fans last night indicated that moment was spotting ‘Ye recording the scene on his phone. He wanted to watch us, watch him.

We won’t know for sure until photographic evidence shows up. But, Yeezy was probably trying to soak it all in just like everybody else.
