Lil Wayne continues to tease his long-awaited album, Tha Carter V. Despite his lengthy legal battle with record label, Cash Money, Tunechi claims he has the authority over when the LP sees the light of day.

The Young Money rapper recently chopped it up with Q 93's Wild Wayne for a phone interview and once again updated fans on the status of the project.

“Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V,” Weezy said. “I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I’m not gonna give them Carter V the wrong way.”

Wayne contends that the project is complete and waiting for the proper roll out. “Carter V is done,” he added. “It’s on the shelf, just ready to drop. I ain't gotta do that. I move on and keep it moving and give them what I'm doing right now. Carter V is ready to be listened to. It’s just gotta be listened to the right way and like I said, I’m not gonna give it to them wrong.”

It appears Wayne is waiting for his label situation to be all the way fixed before he drops the fifth installment in his beloved album series. Who knows when that will be. Tune has been in litigation with Birdman for over two years.

Young Money artist, Lil Twist has heard the album and he recently had good things to say about the project. “C5 is fucking crazy. I can’t wait ‘til y’all hear it," Twist said in a recent interview. "I’m the only person outside of him that got it on my phone. It’s fucking crazy. It’s berserk. He got a lot of features on there. I can say he working with Mannie Fresh on the album again. So, that’s gonna be good for the people.”
