Lil Wayne's elusive album, Tha Carter V, has been the topic of concern for Weezy fans for a while now. Is it being held hostage by Birdman? Does somebody already own a finished version? Has Tune revamped the project? When it does come out, will it be worth the wait? We seem to be moving closer to getting answers to those questions and more as Weezy recently announced the project would be coming soon.

The Young Money rapper is currently traveling the country on his Kloser 2 U tour. While closing out a recent show, he got the crowd pumped by making the following announcement: "C5 coming soon. Fuck Cash Money. It's the Roc." He quickly followed that up by throwing up the diamond sign.

Tune isn't foreign to making bold statements to end his shows. But this one has a peaked interest with the recent developments about Wayne and Jay Z's relationship. Earlier this month, Wayne announced he was a member of the Roc Nation team during a show. He later clarified what he meant during an interview with Skip Bayless, noting that he hasn't officially signed on the dotted line, but Jigga is in his corner. “No, we haven’t done that yet," Wayne said. "We still working on that, that’s a situation. But like I said, Jay’s just a good guy, he just wants to help me. So he’s just going to be helping me.”

Wayne also has Rap-A-Lot Records mogul J. Prince in his corner. Back in February, Baby stated that the album would come out in 2017. “You will get it this year,” the Cash Money CEO stated. “Me and Wayne will be aight. I’ma make that work. That’s my son and I love him, and we’ll make it happen.”

Hopefully sooner than later.

In other tour-related news, Tune invited Russell Westbrook onstage during a show in Oklahoma City and got the crowd to chant MVP. Check out both videos below.
