Flippa Preps ‘Up to Something’ Project

Skippa Da Flippa is back with an updated name and a full-length project coming soon. The Palm Beach, Fla. native, now going by Flippa, announces a new project titled Up to Something.

The new effort doesn't have a release date but will be the former Quality Control signee's first extended drop since last November's Flippa McFadden 2, which included features from Young Thug, Lil Yachy and Sauce Walka.

The news comes one week after Flippa's first release under his new moniker, "Don't Play With Me." The ILuvMuny-produced single finds the rapper reflecting on burned bridges and plotting a future for his family.

"Some of my old friends hate me/But I just bought me a Mercedes/I love to grind, I cap daily/Fuck you, pay me, I grind for my baby," goes the hook.

Flippa rose to prominence after being one of the pioneers of the Dab, popularized by Migos, and released some of his earliest work through the burgeoning Atlanta label that launched the trio, before leaving QC's roster amid drama in early 2017.

Up to Something will be his third project since making that decision, following Flippa McFadden 2 and the August 2017 mixtape I'm Havin' 3.
