Cardi B's newly resurfaced recounting of her past misdeeds is coming back to haunt her.
Even after dodging assault charges and trademarking her iconic catchphrase, Bardi now faces backlash after an incriminating video of the Bronx rapper surfaced on Sunday (March 24). In the video of her of Instagram Live, Cardi B seems to admit that she used to drug her clients and rob them when she was a stripper.
"I had to go strip, I had to go, 'Oh yeah, you want to fuck me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go back to this hotel,' and I drugged niggas up, and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do," Cardi says in the video.
Shortly after the video went viral, social media users began voicing their thoughts about holding the Bronx rapper accountable by using the hashtag #SurvivingCardiB. The hashtag is based off the title of Lifetime's docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, which details the alleged sexual misconduct he's been accused of throughout his career.
The negative feedback from her taxi cab confession comes shortly after the news broke about her upcoming role in the film Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez, and her plans to write a book in the near future. Before she vowed to stay off Twitter for a few days, Bardi defended herself against the Twitter trolls that slide into her mentions by the hour.
"I never claim to be a angel I always been a street bitch," Cardi B tweeted. "Ya be glorifying this street rappers that talk and do that grimmey street shit but they can’t stand a street bitch!"
