Fans of 50 Cent's Power can mark their calendars; the rapper turned actor has announced when the hit Starz series will return. "Back to New York to work on the TV show people seem to like, POWER returns in June," 50 wrote on Instagram on Monday (Jan. 11) below a photo of a jet.

Season 2 concluded in mid-August of last year on a high note that sent fans into a fervor. The ratings for the finale were so go in fact, that it became the all-time ratings records for Starz with 2.39 million viewers. By comparison, those numbers represent a 51% increase from the show’s first-season finale, which amassed 1.59 million viewers.

50 and the Power team seem unfazed by a lawsuit filed in September of 2015 that alleged the show was stolen from an idea of similar nature. Larry Johnson is suing 50 for $200 million, claiming that Power is a facsimile of his manuscript “Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid.” The manuscript was delivered to G-Unit Books in 2005, which is where Johnson believes the theft occurred.

While June is a fairly large window for a series to return, it bears noting that season 2 of Power premiered on June 6th. The trailer for season 2 arrived on January 22, so fans can expect a similar timeline for season 3. There was a Times Square takeover last year for the second season premiere, so be on the look out as 50 and crew prepare the lead up to the new season.
