Power, the 50 Cent-produced drama on Starz, will return June 6, it was announced today (March 19). The first season, which aired last summer, enjoyed a warm reception from critics and fans--the eight hour-long episodes chronicled James "Ghost" St. Patrick in his turn as a nightclub owner who becomes embroiled in the drug trade. This year will see 10 episodes and will air Saturdays at 9 p.m. EST. As Fox's Empire draws to a close, with its first-season finale having recently aired, 50 is probably looking to capitalize off the buzz of a show he believes was biting his in the first place. Starz promises that the second season will center around one compelling dilemma: "Can [Ghost] get out of the drug game alive before Angela discovers who he is?"

50, as always, has been busy as of late, filling the role of mogul in the post-Puffy era. He was recently outspoken about Sony and Epic and their failure to properly look out for their artist, Bobby Shmurda, who remains incarcerated as he awaits trial on a litany of charges. He also offered Zayn Malik a no-questions-asked record contract if he agreed to leave the massively successful boy band One Direction to pursue a rap career. Watch the trailer for season two below.
