Snoop Dogg And Pharrell Debut A New Song At A Pre-Grammy Party
Snoop Dogg and Pharrell debuted their new single, "Peaches N Cream," at the Hollywood Palladium last night (Feb. 5).
In support of Levi's pre-Grammy party, Snoop headlined the concert, performing "What's My Name," "Drop It Like It's Hot" and "Beautiful" along with the super producer. Snoop let the crowd know that Skateboard P would be executive producing his next LP, Bush. The two went on to perform "Peaches N Cream," which is featured on the upcoming album. After confirming the collaboration with Pharrell last fall, Snoop announced the title to the album last month. Other artists set to appear on the LP include Charlie Wilson and Stevie Wonder. Wilson recently called on Snoop for his track, "Infectious," in support of the former Gap Band singer's Forever Charlie album. Snoop's Bush is expected to drop sometime in March.
A few other stars performed at the Palladium last night as well. Diplo opened for Snoop and Miguel returned to Levi's party to perform "How Many Drinks" with Kendrick Lamar after headlining last year. Chaka Khan and Too $hort also blessed the stage.
Pharrell also executive produced T.I.'s Paperwork album, which he initially said was disappointing in his cover story with GQ. Pharrell clarified his comments, stating he loved the LP but felt there was another single that he thought was more appropriate for what is going on in society. Pharrell is nominated for six Grammys this year, along with Beyoncé and Sam Smith. The Grammys take place this weekend, Feb. 8, at the Staples Center in L.A.
