Runway Richy serves up a cinematic new visual for "Switchin Sides," a Gucci Mane-assisted track he dropped a few weeks ago.

The video finds Richy dealing with a friend who's just gotten out of jail. He appears well-meaning, but Richy's peoples know when something's off and quickly alert him with their suspicions. It turns out they're right, and the man, a guy by the name of Rondo, is indeed working with the police.

Rondo puts his plan to expose Richy's operation into action when he asks his seemingly unknowing friend about pulling of an operation. Richy agrees to help his "friend," leaving him with instructions on what to do. Later on, he requests advice from Gucci and gets it in the form of a story. We'll let you find out what happens next.

Richy shot the video for the track while he was preparing to perform at SXSW in Texas earlier this year. That's when he got a call from Gucci himself and the plan for the video was put into motion.

"This was one of those crazy ass weeks that I had to really hustle but it was all worth it in the end," the Decatur, Ga.-raised rapper tells XXL. "I was in Texas to perform at SXSW when on Tuesday, Gucci hits me up and says we have to shoot the video this Friday! So I call Philly Fly Boy and he hooked me up with a treatment in just a few hours. Then on Thursday night, I headlined a show and rushed back to ATL for the 'Switchin Sides' video. We shot all day on Friday then I had to fly right back to Austin for the rest of my SXSW shows. It was crazy hectic but Gucci was cool as hell on set and of course we talked about everything Decatur related. I was just stoked that he really loved the record."

If the Saucelord Rich-produced "Switchin Sides" sounds exceedingly natural it's because it is. According to Richy, everything about the track developed in a very fluid and unforced fashion.

"The song came together very organically!!!" he explains. "Saucelord Rich and Matt were cooking up the beat and I was just sitting there free styling the record in my head. They had no idea what I was doing! When they finished, I was like 'I'm ready!' I caught them so off guard. Sauce just opened up the session in Pro Tools and 'Switchin Sides' was born. The song isn’t really about a certain person or event... it just came out."
