16 Rappers Reuniting With Other Rappers in the Past Two Years
For rap fans, the only thing more satisfying than a good old fashioned beef between two superstars is those same rappers squashing it. When a beef officially ends, all sorts of possibilities open up, and even if they're usually left unfulfilled, that tantalizing potential for rappers to create magic in the studio rarely fails to capture the imaginations of big time rap fans.
When the beef between The Game and 50 Cent solidified back in 2005, fans were left wondering how great the two could have been as collaborators if they'd chosen to stay the course. So when the two MCs finally buried the hatchet last year, at least a few fans began wondering if they'd be hitting the studio together once again.
Post-beef rap reunions are fun because of the elusive chance that the feuding rappers could one day make music. However, if there's a possibiltiy for estranged rappers to ever reunite, reunions that don't come after fiery beefs are more plausible.
Diddy didn't have insurmountable beefs with his Bad Boy crew when he began putting together his Bad Body Reunion tour, and that made it much easier for him to organize the performance spree that actualized the dreams of nostalgic 1990s rap fans everywhere.
Similarly, Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj were never outright beefing with one another, so we can probably take the photos they've recently appeared together in as a sign that they could be reuniting in the studio together in the near future.
Rapper reunions take all forms, from tours to simple meetings behind the scenes. Today, XXL takes a look at rappers who've reunited over the last two years. Peep our list for yourself below.
