The Game isn't wasting any time dropping new music in 2016, and after releasing his Prince tribute "Rest in Purple," he's back with a brand new slapper called "Roped Off" featuring his West Coast brethren Problem and Boogie.

The latter two are some of the finest new spitters California has to offer, and they both prove it as Problem goes the slick lane while Boogie drops some more poignant punchlines. (If you don't know who Mausberg is, better do your homework.) Spin the track above and cop it on iTunes right here.

Speaking of Prince, Game was about this close to doing a collab with the superstar before a single curse word made the whole thing fall apart.

“I wanted him to do a song and he was down to the song,” The Game said. “We met at Doug Morris’ office at Universal [Music] a few years back. He heard the song and there was one curse word in it. And he was like, ‘Yo, I can’t get on that. It’s got a curse word in it.”

Prince used to cuss in his records, but Game saw how he changed over time. “That’s the evolution of people in their lives,” said Game. “You get older, you get wiser. Prince became a Jehovah’s Witness and he stopped… you know, he cut out all that. So, we didn’t do the song cause I needed that curse word.”

This new banger screams California, so bump it with your top down.
