Way, way back, in April of 2012, Kanye West dropped a song called "Theraflu." His first solo single since the previous year's opulent Jay Z collaboration, Watch the Throne, "Theraflu" knocked and rattled and carried Cam's "You got pets? Me too, mines are dead" credo to its logical extreme. But the song, which eventually appeared on the GOOD Music comp Cruel Summer under the title "Cold," had a hidden bit of gossip: "And I'll admit, I had fell in love with Kim/'Round the same time she had fell in love with him," where "him" presumably referred to Kris Humphries, the then-New Jersey Nets player who had married and quickly separated from Kim. Shortly thereafter, the two publicly came out as a couple, leaving the public to assume West had pursued Kardashian until she was finally available. Now, Kim says that was not the case.

The media and reality television mogul told Access Hollywood that it was she who chased after the Chicago rapper. "I'm sure it was really hurtful that I got married," Kardashian remembers," and even though it's not like we communicated all the time, I knew what he was thinking. So I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again," she says. "He didn't, and so I called him and I said, 'Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and 'I told you so,' something?'" After that, West invited Kardashian to a fashion show in Paris and the rest, as they say, is history. The two welcomed their daughter, North, the following year; they married in May 2014.
