Madame Tussauds Is Adding More Security Around Nicki Minaj’s Wax Figure
Earlier this month, Madame Tussaud’s wax museum in Las Vegas unveiled a Nicki Minaj wax statue that depicts the rap star on her hands and knees from a scene in her record breaking “Anaconda” video. The YMCMB spitta loved it, posting videos sent to her on Instagram and tweeted that she couldn’t wait to see the figurine. However, Azealia Banks questioned the intentions behind the new Madame Tussauds' wax figure last week, noting that the tribute is distasteful and disrespectful. “Wow, they finally give nicki minaj a wax figure and it’s a statue of her bent over on all fours…… White people yo….,” she wrote. “As much as that woman has accomplished, they had to put her on all fours… Why not standing up with a mic in her hand ???” She adds, "All ppl are gonna do is go up to that statue and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt."
Banks was right. Since the piece was added to the museum, there have been tons of visitors taking pictures with the wax figure in sexual position. See below:
