ORIGINAL STORY:
New reports regarding the Sunday (Dec. 8) death of Juice Wrld continue to surface.

In previous news stories, it's reported that Juice, who passed away after suffering a seizure at the Chicago Midway International Airport yesterday morning, ingested pills on the flight before it landed. Now, it is being reported he may have also done so in an attempt to conceal pills he had from authorities who searched the private jet.

On Monday (Dec. 9) TMZ published an article in which it says law enforcement officials say sources tell them the rapper was seen swallowing several pills during the search of the plane. People at the scene say it was an attempt to hide the pills. People tell the celebrity news site that they believe this may have led to his seizure, which occurred during the time of the search, and subsequent death.

As previously reported, authorities were tipped off that the private flight Juice Wrld and his entourage came in on from Los Angeles was carrying weapons and drugs. New reports claim the pilot of private jet is the one who notified police on the ground. Federal agents and local police were waiting on the plane to land and promptly searched it with a drug-sniffing dog, finding 70 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags in the luggage. They also recovered six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine and metal-piercing bullets. Two members of Juice's security team, Henry Dean and Chris Long, were charged in relation to the weapons.

While the search was being carried out, Juice began to convulse and had a seizure. Paramedics who were called to the scene then administered the rapper two doses of Narcan, an emergency treatment that is administered when a victim is suspected of overdosing on opioids. He reportedly regained consciousness briefly and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill. where he was pronounced dead at 3:14 a.m.

Juice Wrld's official cause of death is still unknown and pending an autopsy report, which was reportedly supposed to be completed today. XXL has reached out to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. The office says that more studies need to be conducted.

"The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that additional studies are required to establish the cause and manner of death for 21-year-old Jarad A. Higgins," reads the statement. "Additional studies include cardiac pathology, neuropathology, toxicology and histology. The cause and manner of death are pending at this time. The Office will release a statement when cause and manner of death are determined."
