Joey Badass Brings Rap to the NBA in “Victory” Video
Joey Bada$$ is getting more and more of the shine that he's worked for as a young MC in the game, and now the brand deals are rolling in. The "Devastated" rapper recently collaborated with Mountain Dew for the company's NBA Playoffs campaign, and now the video for Bada$$'s "Victory" track from February has been released. Watch the flick below.
The video shows the 22-year-old lyricist reflecting on his journey to success while being surrounded by all kinds of lights, basketball props, and graffiti art with an entourage at bay. While the song may be a little out of the rapper's signature element, he still provides the rhymes that fans will need to hear to get pumped up for any upcoming games in the playoffs. The video even features cameos from the likes of Russell Westbrook, CJ McCollum, Myles Turner, Devin Booker, and Emmanuel Mudiay.
Mountain Dew is currently working with the NBA to combine some of the league's brightest stars with the best trendsetters in art and culture for The Courtside Project, which also includes hoops style trendsetter Don C. Joey originally premiered the song with the company back in February to coincide with the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend, and even performed the record for the first time while down in New Orleans for the eventful weekend.
