Here’s How Much Gucci Mane’s ‘Mr. Davis’ Album Sold First Week

Roughly one week after marrying the love of his life, the first week sales totals for Gucci Mane's Mr. Davis are here, and they're pretty solid. After being on virtual and physical shelves for seven days, Billboard reports that Mr. Davis debuted at No. 2 on their Hot 200 albums chart, moving 70,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release.

According to the site, Gucci's latest effort moved 21,000 traditional album units and 46,000 streaming equivalent album units (it was streamed 67 million times last week). Mr. Davis ties Gucci's 2016 effort, Everybody Looking, as his highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 chart. Only Pink's newest album, Beautiful Trauma, outperformed Gucci's newest project this week.

We'd say Gucci's had a really good week, but honestly, it feels as that honestly feels redundant. Guwop's been winning big since getting out of a jail cell about a year-and-a-half ago. His new memoir, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane, is already a New York Times best-seller. A short time before he dropped the book, a judge ended his probation two years early. Last week, the CEO of Quality Control gave him a $120,000 chain as a wedding gift.

Speaking with Beats 1 Radio's Zane Lowe last May, Gucci said that the time between his release from prison and the dropping of his Drop Top Wop project was the best he'd ever had.

"This has been the best year of my life," Gucci told Zane earlier this year. "It has been a hell of an experience, you know. And I just feel like the best way for me to celebrate is to celebrate with my fans that supported me all while I was gone. The fans who supported me the whole year I been back," he continued.
