Drake’s ‘Views’ Album Now Certified Four Times Platinum
Drake's never-ending winning streak continues. His fourth studio album Views has been officially certified four times platinum by the RIAA. His second LP, Take Care, managed the same feat about five years ago.
At this point, even record sales feel a bit inadequate when it comes to describing Drake's ubiquity, but it still mostly gets the job done. If four-time platinum status doesn't quite do it for you, consider how many times Views is being streamed without people actually buying it. Back in November, the folks at Billboard reported that the project had been streamed over 3 billion times. Basically, Drake is the Adele of the rap game.
All of this success is routine to Drizzy, but he seems to live his life as if it were a constant celebration, buying friends expensive gifts and getting into hilarious antics with them any chance he gets. Just the other day, his boy French Montana posted a list of their "10 Snipe Commandments" onto Instagram. The framed list details the unofficial codes of planning hook-ups with prospective lovers. On the list you'll find gems like, “Thou Shall Always Provide Splash Accommodations For A Brother Within His Household,” and “Thou Shall Always Lie To Protect a Brother’s Reputation Or Chance Of A Splash Conversation In The Near Or Distant Future.”
Of course, it's every bit as ridiculous as it sounds. It's also pretty damn funny. When you're doing as much work as Drake, you can spend your time coming up with as many silly lists as you want.
