Officials have now added four new aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges for Rashad Owens, stemming from the hit-and-run incident at this year’s South By Southwest Festival according to the Austin-American Statesman.

Owens was arrested in Austin for allegedly driving a car into a crowd of festival goers. The 21-year-old driver is currently facing murder charges and 20 aggravated assault charges. With the additional charges, Owens is now accused of 24 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The four new charges will add an additional $500,000 to his $5 million in bail, the Statesman reports.-G. Valentino Ball
