No. 44 has spoken. Earlier today (Dec. 28), Barack Obama jumped onto his official Facebook page and listed his favorite songs of 2018, and unsurprisingly, hip-hop had a sizable presence on the list.

"As 2018 draws to a close, I’m continuing a favorite tradition of mine and sharing my year-end lists," Obama writes in a Facebook post for his list. "It gives me a moment to pause and reflect on the year through the books, movies, and music that I found most thought-provoking, inspiring, or just plain loved. It also gives me a chance to highlight talented authors, artists, and storytellers – some who are household names and others who you may not have heard of before."

Listed in what appears to be no particular order, the rap portion of Obama's collection of favorite songs includes offerings from The Carters (Jay-Z and Beyonce, "Apeshit"),  J. Cole ("Kevin's Heart"), Cardi B ("I Like It" featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny), Chance The Rapper ("My Own Thing" featuring Joey Purp) and Jay Rock ("Wow Freestyle" featuring Kendrick Lamar).

Music wasn't the only part of Obama's year-end list, which also included some of his favorite books and movies. Peep the former U.S. President's entire list for yourself in the post just below.
