Young Thug and Birdman Allegedly Plotted to Kill Lil Wayne
Young Thug isn't having a good week.
Just yesterday (July 15), the Atlanta rapper was arrested in Sandy Springs, Ga. by U.S. Marshals and charged for making terrorist threats. YT allegedly threatened to kill a mall cop earlier in July, telling the cop, he would shoot him in the face while being escorted off of the premises. Authorities raided his home and he was taken into custody.
An indictment obtained by WSB-TV names YT, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, and Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, as co-conspirators, along with a third man, to kill Lil Wayne on his tour bus back in April.
If you'll recall, Weezy's bus was shot at while he was leaving an Atlanta club appearance. Earlier reports claimed that Weezy had gotten into it with hecklers in the audience, and his tour bus was later shot at as he was leaving the club. The third man in the conspiracy case was identified as Jimmy Winfrey. Winfrey was rumored to have been Thugger's road manager, and the suspect responsible for the tour bus shooting. He turned himself in to authorities in June and was charged with aggravated assault, making terrorist threats, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity.
This situation between Lil Wayne, Baby and YT has been going on for some time. Birdman and Wayne, once like father and son, are currently in a legal dispute over Weezy's unreleased album and unpaid royalties related to the LP. Earlier this week, it was reported that Birdman threw a drink at the Young Money chief. As for Thugga, he and Wayne began throwing shade at one another once YT announced his plans to call his mixtape Carter 6.
