XXXTentacion’s Ex-Girlfriend Who Accused Him of Abuse Appears in His “Hearteater” Video: Watch
The video for XXXTentacion’s song “Hearteater” arrived on Friday (Oct. 25) and it’s gory.
The new clip features X's ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala, who accused the late rapper of physical abuse three years ago, play the role of a zombie-esque creature. With a dark, nighttime backdrop, we see Geneva ripping X's heart out of his chest and eating it. Toward the very end of the video, though, X turns the tables and eats her heart.
On the track itself, XXX sings his heart out over acoustic guitar. "Hearteater, why'd you eat my heart alive?/Still breathing, why you looking so surprised?" he sings. "Hearteater, try but you will not suffice/Hearteater, why'd you eat my heart alive?/Still breathing, why you looking so surprised?/Hearteater, try but you will not suffice."
“Hearteater,” which has been floating around on the internet since last year, could be the second official single from X’s upcoming posthumous album Bad Vibes Forever. The collection is expected to feature Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, Lil Nas X and more.
XXX’s former manager, Sounds Music Group CEO Solomon Sobande, along with Empire Vice President Nima Etminan, talked to Billboard back in August about the recording process for the project.
"A lot of records, like 'School Shooter' featuring Lil Wayne or 'Hearteater,' Jahseh saved for this point in his career when he was more established, so they would be better received," said Sobande. "A lot of things he had worked on, almost complete ideas, weren’t finished maybe [they] only had one verse and a hook or only a beat. To fill out those songs, a who’s who of the music industry came out to help us."
