Rick Ross and Chris Brown made a rare joint appearance last night (Dec. 7) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform two new songs.

First, the rapper took the stage for the Chris Brown-assisted "Sorry," off his recently released album, Black Market. After that wrapped, Brown dove into "Back to Sleep," the latest single from his forthcoming Royalty, due Dec. 18.

Black Market caps off what was a decidedly mixed year for Ross. The Miami rapper was forced to endure several disputes involving (or between) artists from his label. The most high-profile, of course, was between Meek Mill and Drake. The former battle rapper from Philadelphia called out the Canadian pop star for using ghostwriters, Drake responded with two diss tracks, the latter of which was yesterday nominated for a Grammy. Ross has since addressed the matter both in an interview and on record, making it abundantly, if belatedly, clear that he has Meek's back.

A few months ago, Meek tried to excommunicate Wale from Maybach Music Group, citing the D.C. rapper's disloyalty to Ross. And then there's the assault and kidnapping charges that landed Ross on house arrest before his September mixtape, Black Dollar.
