Lil Wayne’s clothing brand, TRUKFIT, went through some changes in 2015 and starting this spring, the brand will showcase their new creative direction by releasing several garments with a contemporary look while staying true to TRUKFIT’s aesthetics. With renowned streetwear designer, Kevin Leong, now at the helm of TRUKFIT’s menswear line, the brand looks to become a staple in American fashion wear.

In their latest spring 2016 lookbook, TRUKFIT showcases its new designs and patterns while introducing fashion-forward garments. Compromised of several clothing items, Lil Wayne's new collection includes - long sleeve graphic tees, short sleeve t-shirts, half-sleeve hoodies, jersey inspired tanks, windbreakers, sweatpants, shorts and distressed jeans. The entire collection will feature the TRUKFIT branding throughout each piece of the capsule and highlights the new color palettes the streetwear brand has started to incorporate since the relaunch.

Back in September (2015), XXL got a chance to speak with creative designer Leong on the new direction and inspiration of TRUKFIT. "Well, basically, it’s a nice balance between the artist’s natural style and trying to pinpoint certain trends that he’s naturally into that can sell to the masses. So really, the inspiration is Wayne. You know, just trying to focus more on the cut and sewn and not the child-like cartoon graphics that they’ve been doing. We’re trying to segment the brand into different categories."

The spring relaunch will continue to push Wayne’s distinctive style and bring new designs that fit the TRUKFIT lifestyle. The TRUKFIT "Spring III" collection will go live on TRUKFIT’s website on Thursday, March 24. Make sure to keep it locked with XXL for further details and updates on the following TRUKFIT collections.
