Trippie Redd is having a complicated week. Days before landing on the 2018 XXL Freshman List, and being arrested for alleged battery and aggravated assault, the "Love Scars" rapper earned his first platinum plaque for his Travis Scott-featuring single, "Dark Knight Dummo."

The Honorable C.N.O.T.E.-produced track, released in December, was officially certified platinum by the RIAA on June 6. Trippie's singles "Love Scars," "Poles 1469" and "Bust Down" were all certified gold earlier this year, so it's looking like a trend. "Dark Knight Dummo," for its part, also spent seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking in December at number 72.

The honor comes during a tumultuous time for the Canton native. Two weeks after performing at Rolling Loud in Miami, Trippie was arrested in Atlanta for allegedly jumping rapper FDM Grady with Lil Wop. Yesterday (June 12) he was arrested in Atlanta on separate assault and battery charges after a woman claimed the rapper hit her in the head with a gun.

Trippie Redd is currently working on his debut album. You can watch his video for "Dark Knight Dummo" below.
