After Travis Scott's Netflix documentary Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly dropped last week, La Flame fans were left with the impression that the Houston rapper was upset with Cardi B for winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album. Now, it looks as though that's not the case.

According to a report TMZ published on Sunday (Sept. 1), sources close to the rapper said he wasn't upset that Bardi's Invasion of Privacy took home the trophy at the 2019 Grammy Awards this past February. La Flame's 2018 LP, Astroworld, had been nominated for the trophy, but ultimately lost out.

Apparently, the emotional scene was more the result of Scott's disappointment than any ill-will he harbored toward the Bronx rapper. Scott, who performed at the 2019 Made in America Festival yesterday, famously worked extra hard on his latest LP after his 2016 album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight failed to earn a Grammy nomination.

Scott's new documentary led fans to reignite the discussion of Invasion of Privacy versus Astroworld last week. Many fans thought Scott deserved to win the Grammy. For her part, Cardi appeared to have addressed the conversation in a series of tweets she posted after the documentary dropped.

In the tweet thread, Bardi spoke on rappers charging her six figures for features on her new album and the difficult process of making her album.

"I did it all while I was pregnant," wrote Cardi, who hit the stage at the 2019 Made in America Festival this past weekend. "Throwing up, drowsy, terrible colds and in a rush to finish it so I can start doing music videos before I started showing. I spend 24 hours for months sleeping on a couch with my pregnant depressed ass in a studio."
