Tory Lanez, Lil Peep, Asian Doll and More: New Projects This Week
Several anticipated projects premiered over the course of the last seven days. Look below to check out all of the freshly released albums, mixtapes and EPs of the week.
Tory Lanez delivers a blast from the past with his latest mixtape Chixtape 5. Inspired by the sounds of the early 2000s, the 18-track project is comprised of songs that sample records that were popular throughout the turn of the millennium. The first single, “Jerry Sprunger,” samples T-Pain’s 2005 hit “I’m Sprung,” and also features an appearance from the Rappa Ternt Sanga artist. The Grammy Award-nominated Lanez spent a good portion of 2019 on the road performing across seas with Drake for the Assassination Vacation Tour and throughout the U.S. for Chris Brown’s IndiGOAT Tour.
" target="_blank">Everybody’s Everything, the soundtrack accompanies a documentary by the same name that’s focuses on the life and memory of Peep. The collection of previously released and unreleased songs features contributions from the Rich The Kid, Diplo, iLoveMakonnen and Lil Tracy.
Asian Doll proves she’s nothing to mess with on her new album. Ready for war, the hard-hitting raptress from Dallas, Texas delivers Fight Night. The 14-track project comes equipped with the singles “Beat a B*tch Up,” “Stank Walk” and “Cravin',” which features Yella Beezy, as well as collaborations with NLE Choppa, Yung Bleu and Yung Mal. In support of her new project, the first lady of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo Records is currently headlining her UFC Tour.
