The Weeknd continued his winning ways when he took home the trophy for Best R&B Artist of the Year at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Other nominees included Beyoncé, Bryson Tiller, Usher and Rihanna.

This most recent win is just another fruit of what was an extremely successful 2016 for the Toronto-based crooner. The Weeknd's Starboy further cemented his superstar status by selling over 348,000 copies within a week of its release, and just weeks ago, the singer got the chance to perform his single "I Feel it Coming" at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

The Weeknd's friend Drake, who recently appeared in his video for "Reminder," was also a big winner at this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards. Drizzy beat out J. Cole, Future, DJ Khaled and Desiigner on his way to winning the iHeartRadio Music Awards trophy for Best Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, while his song "One Dance" won him the award for Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year.

It's great to see Weeknd and Drizzy continuing to put on for Toronto. It's even greater to see that the two might have collaborated on a track from Drake's forthcoming More Life album. Recently, Drake's iTunes bio let loose the revelation that Weeknd is featured on Drizzy's new project.

Andy Kellman, who penned the bio, wrote, “Views, was released in April and debuted at number one. It revolved lyrically around his hometown Toronto and featured production by longtime cohorts Noah ’40’ Shebib and Boi-1da, among others. Late that year, Drake issued another trio of singles — including the chart-topping ‘Fake Love’ — that heralded the release of his next full-length More Life, which included collaborations with Nineteen85, The Weeknd and Maneesh Bidaye as well as Boi-1da.”

There's no real word on when Drizzy's album is going to drop, but his father Dennis Graham recently had a fun time trolling the Internet by hinting that the project was dropping on March 4.
