UPDATE: Writer Claims Lil Wayne’s Post-Seizure Tweet Wasn’t Sent From The Hospital

Lil Wayne suffered a seizure last night, reportedly due to consuming too much codeine. He was put into a medically induced coma, but since then has updated his health status saying he’s fine.

It was revealed back in November when Wayne first suffered seizure-like symptoms abroad his private jet that he was given medication to treat his condition. As he told Sway of MTV News, "I gotta drink four water bottles a day, that's what the doctors say.” XXL will update you on this updating story as more information is revealed.

UPDATE: According to a member of entourage outside of the hospital, Wayne was sitting up and drinking water. To add one more swipe to TMZ, the person says the coma story was "lies."

UPDATE: Over the weekend, Chris Paul was one of the close friends who visited Wayne to see if he was okay. Birdman also checked in, as well as Nicki Minaj. In the clip shot by TMZ, she is seen bringing in balloons for him.

UPDATE: Despite Twitter updates indicating that he's in good condition, TMZ reports that Lil Wayne is still residing the Intensive Care Unit of Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai hospital, his sixth day in total. TMZ also reports that the mood surrounding the ailing rapper's camp "has been very serious." XXL will continue to cover the story as more developments come to light.
