During the summer The Cool Kids fans were pleasantly surprised with the news that the duo of Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck English were getting back together after a half-decade hiatus. It took two months, but today we get the first song from the duo in five years in the track "Running Man" featuring Maxo Cream.

The trio hits a slow menacing beat with a barrage of bars. "Bolt, nine second 100 meter sprint/Four 12's boomin' on Suzuki with them tins/I'm still bangin' Screw movin' slower than a tick/Off the drank, purple rain, and screamin' rest in peace to Prince/Back in 1999, the revolution was the time/You get to chirpin' like a bird, it sound like when them doves cry," Chuck raps on the second verse.

Houston's Kream spits, "It's the Bape head band rocker/Pee in corny rapper's jockers/Actin' like some boppers tryna top us/Nigga stop it/Get chalk lined in them Starters/Trappin' daily, place your order."

The last project we got from The Cool Kids was When Fish Ride Bicycles back in 2011. That is the only LP they've released as a group to date, but their catalog includes the EP The Bake Sale in 2008 and six mixtapes. In July they decided to end their time off.

“The hiatus is over,” Chuck Inglish said. “We missed being us. We refuse to let people down and not be the actual group. We been through too much. So prepare for things to go back to they were supposed to be. The Cool Kids together is what is right in the world. It’s on.”
