Takeoff Performs “Last Memory” on ‘The Tonight Show’
Days after Takeoff’s participation in Carpool Karaoke churned out some of the most hilarious memes we’ve seen lately, the rapper came through with another onscreen appearance.
On Tuesday night (Nov. 20), the Migos rapper was the musical guest on a new episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. For his televised performance, the Atlanta native delivered a space-themed live rendition of “Last Memory,” which appears on his debut solo album, The Last Rocket.
As fog surrounded him on stage, Takeoff ran through the track while a giant screen behind him counted down a rocket countdown. After the countdown reaches zero, the set explodes into a galaxy of stars, fitting in the theme with the rapper’s out-of-world aesthetic.
“Woke up this morning, can't remember nothing,” he spits, while wearing white shades and bouncing around the stage. “Two bitches just flew in from London (Two bitches)/Last thing I remember they callin' me daddy/The mattress was covered in money (In hunnids)," Takeoff raps.
A montage of images swirled around behind him, adding a nice personal touch to the spacey performance.
