Takeoff “Casper” Video: Watch Rapper Cruise Through Space in Rolls-Royce Wraith
Takeoff's solo career has been an action-packed one so far. Since dropping his debut solo album (The Last Rocket), the underrated Migo has popped up on The Tonight Show to perform his song "Last Memory" and become a meme after his Carpool Karaoke performance went viral. Today (Nov. 27), Takeoff keeps his foot on the proverbial gas by dropping off a space-centric new video for "Casper," one of the best tracks from his new LP.
In the video, Takeoff becomes an astronaut and literally blasts off into space for a ratchet space adventure. After he goes into orbit, the Quality Control rapper lands on the moon and makes himself at home with a trio of model-type aliens and a white Rolls-Royce Wraith—aka Casper. After hovering over the planet with his rocket shoes, Takeoff goes back to Earth to confront an army of scientists in a neon orange long sleeve shirt and black, ripped jeans.
Takeoff's new video stays in line with the overall outer space theme for The Last Rocket. Last week, the rapper delivered a space-themed live rendition of “Last Memory" as he performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As fog surrounded him on stage, Takeoff ran through the track while a giant screen behind him counted down a rocket countdown. After the countdown hit zero, the set exploded into a galaxy of stars, fitting in with the rapper’s out-of-world aesthetic.
