Blueface has solidified himself as one of the most relevant rappers to come from the West Coast in recent years. The Los Angeles native changed his life with the release of his debut project, Famous Cryp, in 2018. The effort was led by “Thotiana,” which caught fire on social media with a respective belt-grabbing dance attached to it. The platinum-selling song, which was eventually upgraded with a remix from Cardi B, spent 20 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in 2019, peaking at No. 8.
That same year, Blueface was selected as an XXL Freshman and he continued proving why he was tagged as a leader of the new school. Through efforts like Dirt Bag (2019) and Find the Beat (2020), he cracked the top 50 on the Billboard 200 chart. He also scored more appearances on the Hot 100, collaborating with acts like Rich The Kid for the platinum-selling track “Daddy” as well as the combo of Lil Tjay and French Montana for the gold-certified “Slide.”
As far as the 2020s go, Blueface continued to solidify himself as a significant artist, racking up plaques with collaborators like DDG for “Moonwalkin in Calabasas” and bringing his usual off-the-cuff flows and knee-jerk wordplay to the mainstream. Aside from his endeavors on the mic, the Cash Money Records signee launched a YouTube reality TV show called BlueGirlsClubTv. That’s actually where he met Chrisean Rock. The two as a pairing are oftentimes the talk of social media and the main generators of odd headlines as far as pop culture is concerned. Elsewhere, the former football player and father has had stints with amateur boxing, starting off with an undefeated record.
