On Wednesday (May 16), T.I. was arrested outside of his gated community in Henry County, Ga. for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. The arrest came after Tip got into a heated argument with a security guard who refused to let him in but according to the rapper, he wasn't trying to physically fight and claims the guard left out a few key details.

The Atlanta rapper tells TMZ when he arrived outside of his gated community on Wednesday around 4 a.m., he had to wake the guard up, who was sleeping at his post. When the guard refused to let the rapper in, T.I. says he told the him to "look me up," not "hook me up" as originally believed.

After the guard refused to let him in the community because he couldn't find him on the resident directory, T.I. says he had his wife Tiny call the guard. When Tiny finally called and told the guard to "just let him in," T.I. says the guard cursed her out, saying "Who the fuck do you think you is talking to me like this?"

T.I. says he eventually went back home but made his way back to the guard post to get the man's name. After the guard reportedly refused to cooperate with him, the rapper admits he told him, "You can step outside the booth into the street, so we can talk," but says he had no intentions of getting into a physical altercation.

When police finally showed up, Tip claims they didn't check the surveillance video and never got his side of the story. T.I. was then handcuffed and taken to jail.

The Us or Else rapper was eventually bailed out and according to his Instagram Live story, went straight to his son Major's 10th birthday party at his school. "I'm lookin' like yesterday, man," Tip said in the video. "Major's birthday. I'm here, present, at school, ain't been to sleep."
