Soulja Boy Arrested on Felony Gun, Drug Charges [Update]

Soulja Boy was arrested in the wee hours of Tuesday morning (October 18) for weed possession, TMZ first reported.

The celebrity gossip site posted a report saying that the 21-year-old rapper, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, was apprehended by Temple Police Department officers in Temple, Georgia at aroud 3:15 a.m. after a routine traffic stop. In addition to the drugs, cops also found firearms and close to $70,000 in cash in the vehicle among four men riding with the rapper.

SB is currently  being held in Carroll County Jail.

Update: According to CNN SB was charged with three felony charges: possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in commission of a crime. He posted $10,000 bond and was released earlier this afternoon.
