Smokepurpp Is the “MVP” on Flosstradamus’ New Song

Fresh off of the release of his joint project Bless Yo Trap with Murda Beatz, Smokepurpp has now teamed up with DJ and producer Flosstradamus for the new song "MVP."

Released on Thursday (April 19), the trap banger finds Smokepurpp spitting his energetic lines over Flosstradamus' bass-heavy instrumental. "Ice around my neck/Bitch that's on my set/All these niggas pussy, smell it on their breath/Take off in a jet/Chains around my neck/30 thousand, spend it on a pet," Purpp raps.

The "Do Not Disturb" rapper also delivers a catchy hook on the track that is sure to get stuck in your brain. "MVP, MVP/Like a nigga won six rings/We might stomp a pussy out/If he talking like he's sweet," he spits.

On April 12, Smokepurpp linked with Canadian producer Murda Beatz for the 10-song mixtape, Bless Yo Trap. Produced entirely by Murda, the project also features guest appearances from Lil Yachty, Offset and A$AP Ferg.

Speaking with XXL about the making of the record, Purpp said the two originally hooked up a little over a year ago while in New York. "We were in the same studio and he had come over to the room I was in and dropped off some beats," the rapper said. "First he listened to my shit, and he fucked with me, so he gave me some beats. The next day he came over and I used like three of the beats. We just kept on making shit from there on."
