Jeezy, Ludacris and Yo Gotti Link Up for DJ Infamous’ “Run the Check Up”

Having listened to "Run the Check Up" a few times, we have to say Luda walks away with the best verse. At this point, Luda is pretty much an OG of the rap game, so he can still remember when record sales were pretty much the only determinant of success -- and under those terms he was pretty damn successful. He lets the new school know just what's good in his latest verse.

"Whoever said money was the root of all evil never had none/And rappers who say record sales don't matter never went platinum," the "Act a Fool" performer says in his opening bars. "I'm not a gold rapper but these women call me Magnum/and the baddest bitches live in Atlanta in case you've never had one," he continues on.

Luda definitely flexes on the new track, but he also tries his best to poke holes in the idea of money not being able to buy happiness. As far as we can tell, he did a pretty good job.

The other two guys on the track are also pretty impressive. Jeezy hits the beat with his customary bars about being money-motivated and his charisma is still engaging as ever. In case you didn't already know, both of those qualities have paid off. Gotti brings much of the same, and even fits in a semi-shout-out to Harriet Tubman. We didn't have any complaints.
