Offset Receives Three Tickets, Warning During Traffic Stop: Watch
Several months ago, Offset had another run-in with a traffic cop but luckily this one did not end in an arrest.
On Tuesday (Aug. 20), TMZ posted bodycam footage of an officer pulling over the Migos member for a few traffic violations. In the footage, which was taken back on March 29, 2019, Offset was stopped in Sandy Springs, Ga., for allegedly going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. The rapper looked visibly upset that he was pulled over by the cop.
When Offset asked the cop to turn his flashlight off, he received a stern "No" from the officer. The conversation started to get a bit contentious when the cop asked him to spell his government name, which is Kiari Cephus. Offset made it known that he was recording him and the officer replied that he's recording him as well.
Later, when the cop returned to Offset's car, he gave him three citations for speeding, failure to maintain his lane and not having his driver's license. The officer also gave him a warning for his tag being obstructed.
When Offset asked the cop how old he is, he responded, "Why does it matter? Old enough to write these citations."
The Atlanta rapper then said that he would beat the tickets in court. "I'm very legal," he said. "I don't do shit. Stop picking on Black folks."
According to TMZ, Offset had to only pay $470 in fines for speeding and failure to maintain his lane, along with $100 for missing a hearing in the case. His citation for not having a license was dismissed.
