Was there every any doubt? J. Cole has notched the No. 1 album in the country again.

The North Carolina rapper's new LP KOD has debuted in the No. 1 spot of the Billboard 200 chart. Jermaine earned 397,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 26, reports Nielsen Music. That's enough for the largest streaming week of 2018, and the third-largest streaming week in history. It is also the biggest opening week for a rap album since Kendrick Lamar's Damn. moved 603,000 units in March 2017.

This marks Cole's fifth consecutive No. 1 Billboard album following 4 Your Eyez Only (2016), 2014 Forest Hills Drive (2014), Born Sinner (2013) and Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011).

Cole will have a tough time hanging onto the No. 1 spot. Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys is coming on strong. A week after J. Cole's KOD album broke Spotify's first-day streaming record in the U.S., Posty's LP turned around and eclipsed his mark with 78,744,748 streams globally and 47,930,039 streams in the U.S.

In other J. Cole-related news, the rapper recently announced he will be putting on for his home state of North Carolina by launching the Dreamville Festival which will take place in Raleigh, N.C. on September 15. "We've been trying to put this festival together for a few years now," said Dreamville president Ibrahaim "Ib" Hamad. "It's just hard to come into a city and get the whole city to approve it and (get) behind you. So it was great that we took our time ... and really connected with the city (and) connected with the mayor."

Over the weekend, Cole performed in Africa.
