J. Cole is in The Mother Land promoting his new album KOD. On Friday (April 27), the North Carolina MC did a show in Lagos, Nigeria that was too lit.

Jermaine broke out new tracks off his latest LP, including the record-breaking title track and the fan-favorite "Photographs." In the footage, the venue is packed, with the fans rapping along to every word. Cole was definitely feeling the love. "Nigeria. Smhhhh. 7days later it don't make sense can't wait to hit the road. 🇳🇬 💜 KOD," he captioned one video of his performance.

He might want to get back in tour shape before he officially hits the road. "Somebody send me the spongebob outta breath meme. KOD Nigeria 🇳🇬," he jokingly captioned another performance video.

In related news, Cole recently announced an upcoming festival scheduled to go down in his home state of North Carolina. Dubbed the Dreamville Festival, the event will pop off on September 15 in Raleigh, N.C. This has been a while in the making.

"We've been trying to put this festival together for a few years now," said Dreamville president Ibrahaim "Ib" Hamad. "It's just hard to come into a city and get the whole city to approve it and (get) behind you. So it was great that we took our time ... and really connected with the city (and) connected with the mayor."
