New 50 Cent Movie Goes for $2 Mil at Sundance
Twelve, the new Joel Schumacher movie starring 50 Cent, was recently bought at the Sundance Film Festival.
The New York Times reports that the film unit of Hannover House, an independent publisher and media company, purchased the drama for $2 million.
As previously reported, the flick, which is based on the 2002 novel of the same name, finds Fif portraying a Harlem drug-dealer named Lionel. 50’s character provides Gossip Girl heartthrob Chace Crawford with drugs to sell to his rich friends on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The G-Unit general has several other film projects in the works. He is currently filming Gun with Val Kilmer and Jekyll and Hyde—a remake of the horror classic that he will co-star in with Forest Whitaker—is in pre-production according to imdb.com. —Max G
