Migos Cover XXL Magazine’s Winter 2018 Issue
In the new issue of the mag, Migos showcase how together they make up arguably hip-hop’s biggest trio but are capable of holding their own for dolo with a set of solo albums: Quavo's Quavo Huncho, Takeoff's The Last Rocket and Offset's forthcoming LP, of which he hasn't revealed the title yet.
"[We are] the biggest group in the world to ever exist. ’Cause we can do individual and we can go as a group," Offset proclaims.
“All of the great groups that we’ve seen have never let their group be what they could have been,” Quavo adds. “Ain’t nothing gonna stop us but us and God. Everything else is in this water.”
“This the three-headed monster,” says Takeoff. “We all got similarities, but something stand out about each member.”
XXL spent days with the group in Miami while the three were on the road with Drake for the Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour in November. From Takeoff being locked in on Fortnite Battle Royale to Quavo fishing and Offset in the studio, putting the finishing touches on his solo album, the gang's all here.
The winter 2018 issue also has plenty of other interviews with hip-hop's best and brightest stars. Russ breaks his usual silence to expand on his career highs and lows, Vic Mensa faces his personal demons, G Herbo reflects on his stellar year and life as a first-time dad, J.I.D breaks down the bars on his new track "Slick Talk," Smokepurpp reveals what to expect on his new Deadstar 2 project, plus Show & Prove interviews with Asian Doll, YBN Cordae and Jay Critch and conversations with producer J White Did It, Twista and singers Gary Clark Jr. and H.E.R.
There's also a look at the beefs that took over the hip-hop conversation this year, rap dominating high-end fashion and remembering the rappers we lost in 2018.
The winter issue of XXL is on newsstands everywhere Dec. 31.
