Meek Mill’s latest project Championships is arguably one of the best rap albums of 2018. One of the most talked-about tracks on the LP is his duet with Drake called “Going Bad.” The song pretty much confirmed that the Philly native squashed his longtime feud with the Toronto rapper.

During his interview with The Breakfast Club on Thursday (Dec. 6), Meek was asked how he and Drizzy linked up for “Going Bad.” The Dreamchasers leader said that over several DMs, he and Drake simply squashed their differences and made plans to record the song together.

When DJ Envy asked if his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj ever stepped in to squash their feud, Meek quickly said, “No.”

The XXL December 2018 cover star also added that he’s tired of talking about Drake and Nicki in his press tour for Championships.

“I’m not following the standard thing you gotta do to like sell music and like talk about the same people,” Meek explained. “Meek Mill says this about Drake, Meek Mill said this about [6ix9ine], Meek Mill said this about Nicki. No, I ain’t say nothing about them...shit get overwhelming.”

“Yo, this shit is fucking with me at nighttime," he added. "I’m going to sleep with Nicki and Drake on my’s in my real life now."

Elsewhere in the interview, Meek talked about prison reform and how his journey through the criminal justice system has affected his family. When Charlamagne tha God asked Meek if he fall back from being the face of prison reform if the feds told him to, he said that he would.

To be clear, Meek is supportive of prison reform but he's not going to sacrifice his life for it. He simply wants to stay out of jail and provide for his family and son.

"I'm not here to sacrifice my life for everybody, I'm here to sacrifice my life for my family and [my] son, for real," he said. "I'm not going to jail for nobody."

"I sacrifice myself for my mother, my sister, my son, if I could help along the way, then that what it is," he continued. "Not to be selfish, not to be selfish, but if I could help I will."

"If I can save one person from going to jail, I'm cool with that," he added.

Meek also talked about his ongoing legal case, social media, groupies and more during his hour-long chat.
