Meek Mill is ready to expand his brand, and Ecko is giving him that opportunity. The Maybach Music Group rapper recently teamed up with the clothing brand to launch his own clothing line, Dream Chasers, to be distributed through them.

“They was the first person that really, that believed in me,” Meek told XXLMag.com earlier today (October 24) as to why he chose to partner with Ecko. “I’m always into working with the first person that believes in me. Once you get things poppin’, everybody’s gonna start believing in you then, but if the first people that believed in you come with the right situation, it’s always good to start with them.”

When the Philly native dropped his Dream Chasers mixtape back in August, Ecko released collaborative tees to go with it, which are still available online. But that’s only the beginning. The collaboration, which will first be made available for wide release next year, is slated to include varsity jackets, rugby shirts, sweats, jeans and more.

“I see a lot of money being made, man," he said. "A lot of good clothes being put out on the streets.”

Meek also confirmed that the next MMG compilation, Self Made, Vol. 2, is slated to drop in December, calling the material he’s worked on so far “unbelievable.”

“Ross is working hard,” the 2011 XXL Freshman confirmed. “Them social sites be blowing things out of proportion sometimes. Really, [the health issue is] just from not having no sleep. Going hard. And that’s what we do at MMG: we go hard, all of us.”

Meek also said that fans should expect the “I’m A Boss (Remix)” in the next few weeks, with verses from Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, Baby, and Fabolous. —Adam Fleischer
