Who's to know the many lives a song leads before it reaches day light? Beats can pass through different hands, feature different artists, or just live in two alternate universes as same or similar things. The Weeknd's "Tell Your Friends" for example, which was produced by Kanye West and Mike Dean, surfaced two weeks ago in the form of a Kanye remix. Kanye posted "When I See It" to his SoundCloud page, what turned out to be a reference track for "Tell Your Friends."

Now, the song's co-producer Mike Dean exposes more of the seams that went into stitching "Tell Your Friends" together with an Instagram and SoundCloud post of his own. "Mixing the extended ending. Just gonna post the end. Someone else can edit to full version that was dropped," Dean captioned a short video showing one incarnation of the song on his computer. The clip features guitar riffs reminiscent of Kanye's "Devil in a New Dress," which Dean also produced.

Dean later posted a full instrumental version of the song to his SoundCloud, labeling it both "Tell Your Friends" and "When I See It." He also shared an original instrumental, which he titled "Molly." Listen to that below.
