Lil Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant says that the rumors about Weezy signing to Jay Z's Roc Nation are untrue.

"The Internet and blogs took his words out of context," said Bryant while speaking with Billboard. "When Wayne was speaking about the partnership with Jay Z, he was speaking about his new deal as an artist owner with Tidal."

That makes sense since Earlier this month, Weezy exclusively released his newest track, "Glory" on Tidal. It was later revealed that Lil Wayne joined Tidal and is a new co-owner. On Saturday (June 13), Wayne made an announcement at the KMEL Summer Jam in Oakland saying, "I just signed a deal with my motherf--king idol Jay Z." This comment led many to assume that Weezy was referring to a new deal with Hov's Roc Nation for label representation since Wayne is still having issues with Cash Money Records.

Things with Baby aren't getting any better. Wayne recently signed a deal with Kobalt Neighbouring Rights to collect his global royalties. It was Wayne's latest move after filing a $51 million suit against Cash Money. A few months ago, Weezy was willing to stay with his label of over two decades if they agreed to pay the $10 million owed for his work on his still unreleased album Tha Carter V. Baby hasn't budged. Wayne has since moved the suit to New Orleans courts. The feud has been rather public, with Wayne venting his frustrations on Sorry 4 the Wait 2 and most recently in his verse on “M$” off of A$AP Rocky’s new album At.Long.Last.A$AP.
