Kendrick Lamar Wins Six 2018 Billboard Music Awards Including Best Rap Album
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards haven't even started yet and Kendrick Lamar is already having a big night. On Sunday (May 20), Billboard announced several winners in the non-televised portion of the show and K. Dot has six wins under his belt including Best Rap Album.
Along with that big accomplishment, he has also won trophies for Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Streaming Song for "Humble."
Cardi B, who has been nominated for seven awards, has already been crowned Top Rap Female Artist. And we are just getting warmed up. There should be plenty more Ws for hip-hop when the show airs.
Aside from the awards being handed out, the musical performances should be lit. Macklemore will be performing his 2017 single, "Good Old Days," with singer Ke$ha, while Salt-N-Pepa celebrate the 30th anniversary of becoming the first female rap artists to break into the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with a set that will feature En Vogue. Pharrell will make an appearance with Camilla Cabello for their duet “Sangria Wine” and Jennifer Lopez will break out her Cardi B and DJ Khaled-assisted song “Dinero.”
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards airs at 8 p.m. EST on NBC, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Check into our 2018 Billboard Awards winners list to see who all wins big.
