Kendrick Lamar, Stalley and Others Wrap Up Sneaker Pimps Trek
In the midst of hundreds of people—and a few vendors trying to sell and/or showcase their kicks—hip-hop fans miss a step during the wrap-up show of The Sneaker Pimps’ USA tour (presented by Street King and powered by Footaction USA) on Friday (November 11) in Manhattan’s Irving Plaza as Kendrick Lamar, Stalley and others concluded the trek with a bang.
To boot, Kendrick also brought out Harlem upstart, A$AP Rocky, who was also in the building. Rocky served as a hypeman for two joints, including the last record performed, “Michael Jordan,” which was arguably the most fitting to conclude the Sneaker Pimps’ USA tour with PHLI store owner Dave Jeff hosted the event, along with Cory Townes, while up-and-comers rocked the crowd, including Blake Carrington. Others on the roster, such as Bizz E Blaze, Siya, Phil Ade and Kris Kasanova, the latter two who appeared on xxlmag.com’s The Break recently, performed as well.
