UPDATE: K.Dot revealed he and Dre have been putting in work in the studio.

“Dr. Dre is focused like he always been,” said Kendrick. “He focused on music, man. One thing about Dre, you can’t take the music away. No matter how much money he has, he’s always gonna be right there in that studio,” said K-Dot. “That’s before the deal, after the deal. He’s always locked in there. That’s something that I know personally.”

When asked about the current state of Dr. Dre's long awaited Detox album, K.Dot had this to say: “I couldn’t give you that word. He’ll have to give you that word, but I know that he’s still a creative genius in there.”—Morgan Murrell

Things have gotten real since Kendrick Lamar's verse on Big Sean's "Control" was revealed. The Compton rapper has been the topic for more than a few of his fellow MCs. Lupe Fiasco, Troy Ave and Mac Miller are just three voices that have spoken on Lamar. The TDE representative had a chance to answer back during an interview with Nessa at KUBE 93 FM.

His response was classy as usual. Even in the face of Troy Ave's comments calling him a "weirdo rapper." Though the Freshman wasn't trying to convey a negative connotation with the "weirdo" moniker, the comments were really on K Dot's radar.

“I never met him, I never really focused on his music,” he said.

He also spoke on his latest real estate purchase and Dr. Dre working on his next album. Catch the full interview below.
