Though lyrically-challenged, Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane Leflah are becoming like Jay-Z and Nas when it comes to riot-ready music. Even the most unforgiving hip-hop purists have come to appreciate the two Brick Squad standouts' brand of ruckus-centric raps. With countless collaborations under their belt and a DJ Skinny-hosted joint mixtape already on their résumé, Gucci and Waka up the stakes with a full-length joint LP— 1017 Presents: Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka Flame - Ferrari Boyz.

The Atlanta duo sets things off in vintage fashion on the Drumma Boy-produced title track. In addition to a solid verse, Gucci handles duties on the track’s infectious hook. “Get out my lane, Ferrari Boyz/You see the chain, So Icey boys,” he rhymes. Waka, meanwhile, takes centers stage from the gate of his high energy verse. “Riding in the 'Rari same color as Bacardi/She don't like me, shawty, man she like my car/Damn near wanna fuck my chain, damn near wanna fuck my name,” Waka spits.

The ‘Rari Boyz continue to stick to what they do best on songs like“15th And The 1st,” “Break Her” and “My Block.” Despite adding cars and recurring threats to Biggie’s old adage, “money, hoes and clothes is all a nigga knows,” Gucci and Waka hardly stray from their own brand of straight spitting.

Spanning 16 tracks, 1017 Bricksquad Presents: Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka Flame – Ferrari Boyz gets redundant at times, but it features
more studs (“PacMan,”) than duds (“Mud Musik”). Burr! Burr! Pow! Pow!—Carl Chery
