After getting much hype with her “Gucci Gucci” viral track, East Oakland, California, rapper Kreayshawn has officially signed with Columbia Records. The 21-year-old will release “Gucci Gucci” via digital retailers on Tuesday, June 14th, and is preparing her upcoming debut album due later this year.

“I’m excited to work with my new Columbia family,” Kreayshawn said via a statement. “They understand my vision and are going to let me continue everything I’ve been doing. My hope is to inspire others to be young, wild and free.”

Released in May, Kreayshawn’s “Gucci Gucci” became an instant viral smash, garnering over 200,000 views within the first 48 hours and over 2 million views just two weeks later, according to a release. “Gucci Gucci, Louis Louis, Fendi Fendi, Prada / the basic bitches wear that shit so I don’t have to bother,” she raps on the track above synths and bass.

Fellow White Girl Mob member, stylist and DJ L1L D3BB13, appears in the video with her, which finds the two in front of designer boutiques on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Kreayshawn first hit the scene as a video director for Lil B and Soulja Boy, among others. Watch “Gucci Gucci” below.—XXL Staff
